Knife Kit
with Adam Mille
This hands-on class guides students through assembling and finishing a knife from a pre-made kit. Participants will learn proper tool use, handle fitting, shaping, sanding, and final finishing techniques, with an emphasis on safety and craftsmanship. By the end of the class, students will complete a functional, finished knife ready for use or display.
ArkTA Trucking Academy CDL

The Arkansas Trucking Academy (ArkTA) at UAHT is your fastest and most economical choice to move you into a new and exciting commercial truck driving career. Our program is made possible by an Arkansas Regional Workforce grant, which means our program will save you thousands of the cost of a private trucking academy. In a matter of weeks, you can have a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and the skills needed to be employed and earning competitive wages in the field of transportation.

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Level 1
with Ken Walsh
This is a hands-on training where you will learn basic programming, maintenance and troubleshooting PLC based industrial controls using PLC trainers with Allen Bradley/ Rockwell Automation Control-Logix hardware and Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 and RSLinx software. The central processing unit is a 1769-L36ERM. The basic operating principles of all PLCs, their inputs and outputs (discrete and analog), programming, maintenance, and networking will be covered.

Fiber Optic Technician

The Fiber Optic Technician program, in partnership with the Arkansas Fiber Academy, provides students with an opportunity to embark on a meaningful and rewarding career in the fiber broadband industry. Classroom and hands-on field experiences equip students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities employers look for when hiring fiber optic technicians to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber broadband to homes and businesses. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible for the Fiber Broadband Association OpTIC Path 3-year certification.

Advanced Transitional Damascus

This advanced course builds on foundational Damascus skills, teaching transitional techniques that bridge simple pattern welding to more complex and controlled Damascus designs.
Forklift Operator Training

This course provides formal classroom instruction with evaluation and practical hands-on training with evaluation in accordance with OSHA standards. Completing both portions of the training results in the issuance of a forklift operator training certification card valid for 3 years. OSHA requires the employer to ensure that every powered industrial truck (forklift) operator is competent in the operation of a truck prior to operating as proven by the successful completion of the required training. This course focuses on the required elements of a forklift operator training program outlined in the OSHA forklift standard, 29 CFR 1910.178. The classroom instruction element provides general information on all types of forklifts and is followed by a written examination. The practical hands-on training provides specific instruction on the forklift operated by the trainee and is followed by an evaluation of performance. Training certification is issued for successful completion of both elements of the training process. To be legally employed as a forklift operator in any state in the U.S, a person must be at least 18 years of age and obtain certification.
X-Rhea Knife
